A long over due post/pictures of our Nutcracker Star. Abbie tried out for the second year for Ballet Oklahoma's production of The Nutcracker. This year she earned a spot as a Party Boy-quite a larger roll than being a Little Angel last year. Practices began in September and were on Saturday's for 1-2 hours about 40 minutes away. Then during the two weeks of the weekend performances they were 3 nights a week in addition to the performances. Never once did she complain, had a great attitude when she was tired, she had to make some sacrifices and miss out on some fun things, yet throughout it all was looking forward to doing it again next year. For those of you who know Big Sister, she is not a girly girl at all, so it is quite surprising to us how much she LOVES ballet and dance. Even among all the make up, wigs and costumes (that changed every performance)-she enjoyed being on stage. It is quite an honor to be a part of this production and she did an outstanding job, giving it a 110%. She was quite a cute party boy- Not that we are biased at all ;-) Thanks to the 24+ people that came to watch and support her-she felt very loved!

I am so proud of her, wish I could have been there to see her performance. I know she always does a great job.
